Job Purpose:

As a Retail Cashier, your primary responsibility will be to operate cash registers, process various payment methods accurately, and address customer inquiries promptly.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Provide exceptional customer service to create a WOW experience for every customer.
2. Address unique shopping needs of each customer, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
3. Adhere to customer service standards to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery.
4. Drive sales by promoting add-on sales and services at the point of sale.
5. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for the start of the day and transaction processing.
6. Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards to enhance the store’s visual appeal.
7. Operate cash registers and process payments accurately.
8. Handle returned goods and report to managers for appropriate action.
9. Ensure proper pricing and display of goods at the point of sale.
10. Implement and maintain advertised sales promotions at the point of sale.
11. Participate in stock takes and minimize stock loss.
12. Minimize expenses and maximize sales in assigned areas.
13. Protect the company’s assets within the assigned area of responsibility.

Entry Requirements: Toys R Us Retail Cashier 2024

1. Matric Certificate.
2. Six months of retail experience.
3. Own or reliable transport to work shifts.

1. Undertake any other relevant duties as requested by Senior Management.
2. Complete all mandatory and service training as required.
3. Maintain strict confidentiality of all information.
4. Regularly undergo appraisal and personal development reviews.
5. Stay up to date with current standard operating procedures.
6. Cooperate fully in the introduction of new technology and methods.
