Life Kingsbury Hospital is seeking a dedicated Stores Assistant to join our Pharmacy Surgical Department. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, Nabeel Dudhia, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of stock management for all hospital wards.

Key Responsibilities: Life Kingsbury Hospital Stores Assistant

  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming surgical stock.
  • Facilitate stock distribution to hospital units and manage auto transfers.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with stock takes both in the Pharmacy and on the wards.
  • Order stock in accordance with the hospital formulary and manage credit stock processes.
  • Maintain accurate item codes for wards and Pharmacy.
  • Utilize reports for effective stock management and control of dead stock.
  • Manage stock related to expiry dates, damage, and rotation, including all ad hoc stock management tasks.
  • Transport prescriptions between wards and Pharmacy.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties within the Pharmacy.
  • Drive full compliance with 100% alert reporting.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with nursing and other hospital departments.

Requirements: Life Kingsbury Hospital Stores Assistant

  • Completion of Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
  • Prior stock management experience in a hospital surgical store environment is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on partnership building and customer orientation.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with SAP, Impilo billing, and stock control systems is advantageous.
  • Physical ability to manage heavy stock boxes and operate safely in a stockroom environment.
