Position Overview: Deliver outstanding service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operations, and in-store merchandising to create a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Execute all point of sale activities promptly and efficiently, ensuring timely service.
  • Accuracy and Payment Processing: Maintain high accuracy levels when scanning merchandise and processing payments, including managing clubcard rewards.
  • Cash Handling: Ensure safe and secure handling of cash at all times.
  • Clubcard Promotion: Proactively promote and enroll customers in the Clicks’ clubcard program to achieve participation targets.
  • Sales Promotions: Inform customers about ongoing promotions to enhance sales and ensure they “feel good and pay less”.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as a brand ambassador by providing visible, friendly, and professional service.
  • Merchandising and Housekeeping: Execute and maintain merchandising and housekeeping duties according to store and visual standards.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Company Vision Support: Uphold and drive the company values to support the Group’s vision of being the first choice health and beauty retailer for customers.

Knowledge:

  • Basic mathematical calculations.
  • Understanding of retail/FMCG merchandising and promotional principles.
  • Expertise in delivering excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Preferably, experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment.

Education:

  • Essential: Grade 12.
  • Desirable: Achieved at least 50% in Maths and English at Grade 12 level.
