Key Purpose
To provide work experience or experiential learning for students in Agricultural Institutions as stipulated in the SETA’s Work Experience (WE) Grant Funding Policy, enabling students to obtain their qualifications.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities
- PC Literacy: Basic computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in teams.
- Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Passion for Agriculture: A strong interest in farming and agriculture.
- Willingness to Perform: Willing to take on challenging tasks.
- Language Skills: Ability to converse in Afrikaans will be advantageous.
- Academic Requirements: Studying towards a National Diploma in Agricultural Management (or equivalent). The work experience must be necessary for completing your Diploma.
Minimum Requirements
- 12-Month In-Service Program: Complete the program in line with the guidelines of the SETA and the Academic Institute.
- Work Experience: Gain experience in various value chain and service departments and provide relevant support.
- Hop Farming: Learn hop farming practices and execute milestones as required.
- Job Duties: Perform duties as outlined in the job description for each field.
- Academic Requirements: Complete all academic requirements as defined in the Institute’s work experience programme.
