SanParks Security Guard 2025 This role is critical in safeguarding our park, visitors, and wildlife. Minimum Requirements:
To qualify, you must meet the following essential criteria:
Education: Matric (Grade 12)
Security Certification: Grade C, D, and E Security Certificate with valid PSIRA registration
Experience: Minimum two years in security services
Security Knowledge: Proficient in operating security equipment and monitoring systems
Wildlife Protection: Understanding of wildlife crime and conservation-related security risks
Driver’s License: Valid and up to date
Building & Property Security: Ability to secure premises, control access, and detect unauthorized activities
Physical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical condition and pass a mandatory fitness test
Situational Awareness: Strong observational skills to detect suspicious behavior or potential threats
First Aid Training: Knowledge of first aid procedures in case of emergencies
Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and written communication
Firearm Knowledge: Firearm competency and experience will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities:
As a Security Guard at Kruger National Park, you will play a vital role in ensuring safety and security. Your duties will include:
Park Security & Infrastructure Protection: Safeguard KNP’s facilities, personnel, and visitors against threats, theft, and illegal activities.
Monitoring & Surveillance: Conduct routine checks, SanParks Security Guard 2025 patrol assigned areas, and identify security risks.
Access Control: Maintain entry and exit records of all personnel and vehicles. Ensure only authorized personnel gain access.
Incident Reporting: Report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or unusual occurrences to the Shift Supervisor, Chief Security Officer, or Protection Services Manager.
Search & Inspections: Perform random vehicle checks to prevent unauthorized removal of materials and conduct patrol inspections.
Crowd Control & Emergency Response: Manage crowd control, ensure security during public gatherings, and respond swiftly to security threats.
Firearm Safety & Training: If applicable, SanParks Security Guard 2025 ensure proper handling and use of firearms following security protocols.
General Security Support: Perform any additional duties assigned by the Protection Services department.
