The following duties, among others, will be under the purview of the selected applicants and they will report to the Supervisor Aviation Security:
Permit authorized individuals to enter the restricted area.
Assist passengers and luggage through the screening area, and maintain flow management according to the guidelines.
Check all carry-on bags and luggage for potentially dangerous items.
Check everyone to make sure there are no threats and to maintain order.
Examine every item of luggage that has been identified physically.
Profile the individual and the bag, making use of random screening.
Reporting requirements for
Technical Skills and Experience Airports Company SA Careers 2024
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 is essential.
- Relevant National Diploma/Degree (NQF 6) in Security/ Law/Risk/Compliance is recommended.
- Registration with Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade A is advantageous.
- MS Office proficiency on a basic level
