Job Description Cashbuild General Assistant 2024
Customer Service
- Greet all customers and determine their needs
- Provide accurate product advice to customers
- Assist customers with product queries and complaints in a timely manner
- Promote additional sales, such as paint brushes and thinners with paint purchases
- Ensure efficient customer service by promptly loading purchases without delay or damage to goods or the customer’s vehicle
- Inform customers about additional services including delivery, bulk deposits, glass cutting, plan reading, credit programs, special orders, trusses, distant ordering, and VIC Customer Programme
- Maintain certification in product knowledge
- Remain available in your aisle of responsibility
Housekeeping
- Keep your area free of obstacles, merchandise stock immediately after receiving it, and ensure customers can move through your aisle without risk of injury or irritation
- Correctly label shelves within your area of responsibility
- Complete required checklists when on duty, including canteen and toilet/shower schedules
Safety (OHSA) Requirements Cashbuild General Assistant 2024
- Comply with safety regulations (e.g., use of safety gear) to ensure the safety of customers and staff within your area of responsibility
- Ensure stock in your area is safely merchandised to allow safe movement for customers and colleagues
- Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager
Ready for Business
- Adhere to “Ready for Business” and “Beyond my Control” protocols as per company standards
Loss Prevention and Security Cashbuild General Assistant 2024
- Identify any gaps in displays, investigate causes, and report concerns to management
- Be vigilant of suspicious behaviors or individuals and report them to management
- Ensure no product is loaded for a customer without proof of purchase or required
