- South African Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens residing permanently within the Polokwane Municipality, Limpopo.
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must either be in Matric in 2024 or have completed Matric and intend to start their first undergraduate qualification in 2025.
- Education Institution: Applicants must be accepted or provisionally accepted into a public University, University of Technology, or TVET College within South Africa.
- Financial Need: Candidates must come from disadvantaged backgrounds and must not be receiving any other bursary funding.
- Special Consideration for Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply if they meet all the above criteria.

- Download the Application Form: The Polokwane Municipality Bursary Application Form 2025 is available for download. Alternatively, applicants can collect a form from any cluster office or from the Civic Centre (offices 901/908).
- Complete the Application Form: Ensure all sections of the form are accurately filled in with relevant information.
- Gather Supporting Documents: Include clear and certified copies of all necessary documentation to strengthen your application. Missing or incorrect documentation may lead to disqualification. Required documents include:
- Certified ID Document: A certified copy of the applicant’s ID.

- Proof of Residence: An original and stamped document proving residence within Polokwane Municipality, such as a Municipal Water utility bill, Bank Statement, or a letter from an authorized traditional leader.
