Job Description:
The Shelf Packer role involves preparing store shelves for customers by neatly arranging and organizing products. You will ensure that stock is in excellent condition, meets quality expectations, and is correctly labeled. Additionally, you will engage directly with customers by addressing inquiries, guiding them on product location, and promoting store offerings to enhance their shopping experience. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and a strong customer service orientation are essential for success in this role.
Minimum Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Shelf Packers at Pick n Pay are expected to perform the following duties:
- Product Merchandising:

- Conduct regular quality checks on products, including expiration dates, and rotate stock as required to prevent spoilage.
- Remove any damaged or expired items promptly, maintaining fresh and available stock at all times.
- Minimize Loss and Maintain Standards:

- Monitor temperatures and maintain the cold chain for perishable items as per store requirements to ensure product integrity.
- Store Hygiene and Safety:
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and housekeeping, ensuring that both store aisles and back-up areas are kept clean and organized.
- Follow all safety standards to create a safe environment for both customers and staff.
- Operate and clean store equipment as per guidelines to maintain efficient, safe, and sanitary equipment.
- Pricing and Labeling:
- Ensure that all products are correctly priced and labeled to prevent customer confusion and facilitate smooth transactions.
- Conduct regular checks on pricing labels to confirm they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Customer Service and Sales Promotion:
- Respond promptly and courteously to customer inquiries, assisting them in locating products and providing relevant information as needed.
- Actively promote products, including special offers, to enhance sales and drive store revenue.
