Educational Qualifications:
- A relevant undergraduate qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, Administrative Management, Operations, Human Resources, or Business Management (NQF Level 6) is required.
- An NQF Level 7 qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Administration, Business Administration, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma in Public Administration or Business Management, or Bachelor of Arts with majors in Industrial Psychology and Public Administration) will be a distinct advantage.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of one year of clerical experience is required.
- Previous experience in client/customer service will be highly regarded.
Key Knowledge Areas:
- Thorough understanding of Batho Pele Principles
- Familiarity with Public Service Regulations
- In-depth knowledge of Departmental Legislation and Prescripts (Civic Services)
- Comprehensive understanding of the Human Resource Regulatory Framework
- Proficiency in Civic Services Operations and Prescripts

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of Civic Services functions within Mobile Offices, overseeing processes such as Identity Document, Birth, Marriage, Death (BMD), and Passport applications.
- Supervise and ensure smooth operations across multiple service points.
- Manage client queues and streamline daily operations for maximum efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of Mobile Offices, ensuring safety and operational readiness.
- Implement robust risk management and compliance practices.
- Facilitate exceptional client services at various service points.
- Operate specialized equipment in both front and back offices.
- Drive the mobile unit to designated service points, ensuring timely and efficient setup.
- Provide assistance to clients, including those with disabilities, in accessing and departing the mobile units.
- Foster and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with Civic Services frameworks.
- Supervise and manage both human and physical resources within the unit.
