Ward Stock Controller Position at Life Beacon Bay Hospital

Reporting to: Teresa Kriel, Senior Pharmacist
We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Ward Stock Controller to join our Pharmacy team at Life Beacon Bay Hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective stock management across the pharmacy, theatre, and wards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and stock takes, capture the results, and investigate any variances.
- Stock Receiving: Receive, check, and unpack stock, ensuring orders match invoices.
- Purchasing Assistance: Aid in stock purchases and control, including file maintenance.
- Invoice Processing: Capture all invoices, resolve supplier queries, and process credits promptly.
- Stock Issuance: Issue and capture stock requisitions for the wards and theatre daily.
- Stock Monitoring: Manage negative and dead stock efficiently, ensure stock rotation, and systematically check expiry dates.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in stock control within a hospital environment. Theatre experience is advantageous.
- Skills: Effective communication skills, computer proficiency, and familiarity with an online computer system.
- Attributes: Precision and meticulousness in work. Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and key players is advantageous.
