Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Collaborating with team leaders and supervisors.
- Conducting daily inspections in the designated area of responsibility.
- Planning and managing tailings material on-site and at the depositing area.
- Assisting in solving operational challenges and reporting any deviations to the immediate supervisor.
- Following disciplinary procedures as per company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to all safety rules and regulations as per safety legislation and company procedures.
- Extending and connecting pipelines.
- Opening and closing valves in line with operational lines.
- Taking responsibility for personal performance.
- Maintaining good housekeeping at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in an earth-moving or related environment.
- Experience with tailings dam operations in the mining or related industry for at least 2 years is advantageous.
Skills, Qualities, and Abilities Required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
- Teamwork and observance.
- Innovative and action-oriented.
General Requirements:
- Understanding of relevant standard operating procedures.
- Medically fit to work in a mining environment.
- Must pass the mine’s criminal screening process.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
