Department of Education invites qualified candidates to apply for Examination Assistant (EA) positions for the July and December 2024 marking sessions of the National Senior Certificate examination scripts.

Eligibility Criteria:

Preference will be given to candidates in the following categories:

• Full-time education students who are at least in their second year at a recognized tertiary institution.
• Education students with experience in examination-related work.
• Education students possessing strong numeracy skills.
• Unemployed education graduates (proof required).

Application Instructions:

Only South African citizens may apply.

1. Complete all sections of the application form accurately and honestly.
2. Fill out a separate form containing your bank account details, have it verified and stamped by your bank, and sign it.
3. Attach a certified copy of your qualifications.
4. If you are currently studying, include a letter of proof of your latest registration at your tertiary institution.
5. Attach three certified copies of your green barcoded ID or ID card.
6. Submit only one set of the application form along with the advertisement.

Important Notes:

• Employed individuals will not be considered for these positions.
• Providing false information will result in application rejection or dismissal if appointed.
• Incomplete, emailed, faxed, and late applications will not be considered.
• No sleeping accommodation or transport will be provided.
• Due to the expected high volume of applications, receipt of applications will not be acknowledged.
• Marking times are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
